If it is too deep you can do the same, but you have to cut twice and weld the panel back on. The first cut is hard since you will have to cut through baffles that the blade might not be able to reach.

Thanks David. I would be really worried I didn't weld it back on right and have 10 gals of water in my basement. My wife would probably cut the power off to my tank at that point.
