WTB Sun Mushroom Coral (Heliofungia)

Hey MASC,

As the title suggests, I'm interested in getting a Sun Mushroom. I realize that Reef-Ed is right around the corner so maybe some of you could point me in the direction of a vendor carrying these that will be there.

I like the way this coral resembles an anemone. In reality I actually want an anemone, but I have a nano tank and realize having an anemone is not reasonably feasible. I'm also aware that the sun mushroom/plate coral can have large sweeper tentacles so I'm looking for one on the smaller side, preferably 3" in diameter or less. Looking for any vibrant color, but I'm not picky in that area.

Any input is greatly appreciated.

I have a green and yellow one I might willing to part with. Its about 3.5" fully infalted and about 1.25" completely deflated. They dont play well with other plate corals and ive been wanting to get a small collection going in the same area of my tank this one currently occupies. PM me if interested

You could also do a rock anemone...they tend to stay in one place unlike BTAs, and don't have the sting of a carpet nem.

Thanks Allyson, I'm definitely dropping by your area at Reef-Ed so that would work out nicely. Actually now that I come to think of it, I really liked the heliofungia you had when you hosted the MASC meeting some time back, made me really want one in my tank.
