I've been liking the rw series, I've got the rw8 and it works well for my 60.
Do you have or intend to have an apex controller at all? The mps can be linked to that.

I have a Jebao WP-40, and 2 Hydor 1050's....I think they are 1050's I'll have to check. The Jebao makes a great surge/wavemaker. I might also have the JBJ Ocean Pulse Duo, which can switch the flow on or off on the 1050's. If you are interested I can go dig through the boxes of collected reef stuff in the basement.

I've also got a ocean pulse I had forgotten about, if Chris doesn't find his. I'll be in Denver in September if nothing else works out.

I've heard nothing but good about the wp40. I have a hydro 1050 in the tank now with a mag 12 return for flow while cycling. In your opinion would the wp40 paired with my current 1050 do the trick in my 72" 125?

I ran the Wp-40 with 2x the 1050's. I put the Wp-40 near the top center, and the 1050's on the bottom center facing right and left. The WP-40 is a strong pump, it will send a wave all the way across that 72". I had it on my 48" 150 gal. and the wave would easily be 1 or 2 inches all the way across. Early Jebao pumps seemed to be good for a year and then they would die, at least that was what they were notorious for. I feel like the quality has improved as I am seeing less "Jeabo sucks" being tossed around.

Ultimately, I got rid of it because my wife said it was too loud. She also says the 1050's by them selves are too loud. Yet she insists on sitting 2 ft. away from the aquarium every night! I replaced them all with the Maxspect xf-150 gyre, which has been very good for me for the last 6 months.

I've been wanting to pull the trigger on one of those, have you seen a difference in flow with it vs the other pumps?
You should move the wife's chair to the other end of the room.

I really like it. You can see the flow go across the top, down the side, across the bottom (about 2/3 of the way) and then back up toward the XF150. I just leave it on continuous flow, but it has a pulse function, as well as a forward and reverse function. However, when in reverse it creates too much noise and is fairly ineffective (it moves like 25% as much water as in forward). I think there are some principles of fluid dynamics at play, laminar flow vs. turbulent flow..
