WTS Red Pincushion Urchin

I want to sell or trade away my red pincushion urchin, perhaps a trade for a different urchin. I got him to eat up some of my macroalgae, and instead he just seems to be eating my coraline algae and making my tank look weird.

Will take just about any offer for it as long as you come to get it.

Some of my hair algae has been disappearing, but I'm not sure if it's him or my turbo snails really. I do know that it's just him eating the coraline, which worries me because I don't have nearly enough coraline in my tank to let him keep doing this and if he eats it all I'm not only concerned that my tank will look freaky with bare rock but also that he'll starve because he won't eat other things.

If you have an acrylic tank you should not get an urchin, there may be some species that will not harm acrylic, but none that I know of. The damage to the tank will far outweigh any benefit you get from housing this critter.

Yeah, my tank is glass so no problem there, but the bastard is just eating up all my coraline. I think it is doing some of the hair algae too, when it comes near it. My rock is just starting to look all white because he eats right down to bare rock. Maybe someone with a bigger tank wouldn't have a problem. If nobody wants him I may just take him back to the pet store and call it a loss.
