I was pleasantly surprised by the results. Granted all taken with a grain of salt, everything was almost spot on minus Strontium being the most noticeable; 5.01ppm vs the ~7.5ppm norm.

Switching over to Triton Core 7 has been a huge success for me, previously trying AF 1,2,3, and BRS 2 part from there.

Very cool to have this done. Would be interested to test my 29G upstairs next and compare.

I spent a lot of time looking over the results. I will post them up when I get a chance, but everything looked good. I had some excess silicon, but still in line with natural sea water. I will be checking my salinity as both my sodium and chlorine were low. I think whatever may have been ailing me has cleared itself up with the massive water changes and carbon and GFO.

Like I’ve noted in several conversations a few of my “dead” montis are on growing in small spots and patches.

Thought so too but it said something about them being unreadable.

If you have a LPS or SPS dominant tank you should raise your Strontium to 10 ppm. Coral skeletal growth needs Sr and Ca to form the skeleton.

I think I may need to spring for one of these. Maybe do it annually or twice a year. What’s the cost at stone aquatics?

If you take your sample to Stone it is $15. You can setup an account before you go, and they will email you the results (pretty fast turnaround). If you don't want to drive and want to ship it, I think it is in the $45 range? Orlando does water testing at Aqua Medic, but I didn't see drop off rates...just mail in prices around that $45 mark if I remember right.

You should ask Dr. Randy on R2R, he’s a chemist and could tell you why. The front range is well known for both Radon gas and Uranium deposits in soil and rock. I would check it out if you have concerns.
