I’ve had some hair algae so I added hermit crabs and snails but now I notice some heads floating from my hammers I see small new growth but don’t like the tips falling off.
I wouldnt suspect the snails or crabs for this, these do tend to drop heads when they arent happy. I have had them do it when I had some micro nutrients get out of whack. I have even seen them do it if my phos or NO3 got to high.
Have you tested your phos or NO3 lately?
