Got the top main edge printed. Have some trials I settled on dovetails for most of the joints. The dovetails are by far the strongest joint yet and once glued up should make for a pretty solid structure Now on to the bottom layer, hatch, and then glue

Ya PLA will breakdown over time. UV exposure will make it become brittle and eventually it will just crumble. Although there are some PLA types out there that can hold better then other but best bet is to just stick with PETG

I mostly use PETG. It holds up best under UV lights, and in the harsh saltwater environment. Its also non-toxic and is the plastic most commonly used in kitchen utensils
