I would be interested, but I also would rather get the Evo200s. It is a better long term solution for me even though I'm using a 40 Breeder the Evo 200 would work better with a 120g that I'm planning on getting next year. I'm sure others might like to get the other sizes for their tanks (not to make it harder or more confusing).

Reefkoi, When are you going to start making these in a dimmable version? Get those going and I would jump on a deal like this for my upcoming 80 gallon build.
I have been making dimmable models for a month or so now :)

This deal doesnt include the dimmables because you guys cant get them direct from china :)

Reefkoi how would that unit do on a 50 breeder? Would I need more the one? Fyi I currently have 175w halide and 2 t5s
I'd use two of them, unless you can mount it high or only keeping low light softies or something

Great deal, I just got done looking at your website and saw the dimmable version. My question is at what height above the water are you using for the coverage spec. I am looking to cover a 75, but would like to hang the lights within a canopy, with top open for air. But I think then I would need to dim it. Probably only need EVO 100 then ?

sent from my Evo using tapatalk
well on a 48" tank I recommend the 200w dimmable for good coverage and enough PAR. I figured a mounting height of 12". now if you have a canopy just run two of these 120w is your cheapest route for sure :)

Could I recommend starting a special thread for this? I'm going to assume that some people are assuming this thread is still about the chinese ones and NOT the actual evo ones that you are offering. Probably get to 12 fairly quick imo. Amazing deal being offered here. Thanks Reefkoi.

Side note: How much shipping per?
well if you guys want to start it up as a group buy in another forum thats cool too :) The shipping from me to denver is about $10 per light, I might be able to meet up w someone in denver like we do w the corals too :)

well for a 120g I tupically recommend 2 of the 150 dimmables, on a 48" tank its always better to use 2 smaller fixtures than one larger one for max spread, but if you have the height above the tank then its more economical to use one 200w fixture yes :)

And trying to plan for a future tank is good, but sometimes you end up not doing that sized tank then the plan changes again, I've seen that happen a lot :(

What about the option of adding dimmables?
not at this price, the dimmable units are a whole different animal, different drivers and different case design, so its not available on this style case unfortunately.

I'm not sure what height I will have above the tank. It is possible that I will be using a canopy which will require the dimmables. At this point I don't really need to change my lighting, but I am starting to gather equipment for my 120G that I am planning to install after I purchase my house. This is larger than the 75G my wife is thinking we are getting, but she probably won't notice the difference. To her it is just a big fish tank in the living room with a bunch of junk in the basement.

ok I'm going to post up a group buy thread then now :)

I will be in China in a few weeks so shipping timing may be tight at this point depends whether we can get 12 or more ordered and paid for and built and shipped before I leave, worse case im back after 10 days so it would arrive towards the latter part Nov.
