one way to tell if the glass is tempered is using a polarized sunglasses. put a light source in the empty tank (eg., cell phone or table) and look with the sunglasses. if you see patterns of color then the glass is tempered. try looking at an angle.

I'm working on a 110 right now, or I'd be interested. I'd suggest checking for tempered glass. A laptop lcd and a polarized lens can be used for this. I suspect you'll have a lot more interest if people know they can drill it. A price might help, as well.

I tried to look around the interwebs on it, and it seems that the curved piece is definitely tempered glass, but no mention of the back piece. It seems that the brand Jebo, is also re-branded into SunSun, LAC, and others.

Why not just run a CPR siphon overflow down to a sump and skip the drilling all together? Modifying the hood doesn't look too difficult since there are already cutouts for plumbing back there....at least that what it looks like in the last picture of the first post. Or take the top off all together....
