As well as discounts with ReefGeek, Fosters & Smith, LiveAquaria, Marine Depot and a few others. :)

I just completed a $2000 group buy with Fosters & Smith Aquatics for several folks.... both DARC and MASC members. If my garage floods there's enough salt out there to turn it into the Red Sea.
sorry rob wasnt trying to put down darc...ive met some great guys from there and borrowed the par meter myself ...was just a response :)

Why don't we just start having raffles at meetings of donated corals and start a PAR meter fund. I can always use DARCs but that is one way to get MASC one.

I can donate 5 to 10 bucks towards the meter. really when you think about it. If each paid member put $10 to $15 towards the cost we could get one, as I think a semi-nice one cost $300 bucks.

I recently bought the Apogee SQ-110 sensor and am using a multimeter to get the readings. $130 for it I think. IMO it's a much better option since some may already have a multimeter, and if not, it's a much more versatile thing to have than the par meter (use it find stray voltage, test connections/continuity etc..) As long as you can multiply by 5, it's easy to use. Here is the link I followed:

I'd be happy to lend it out, but I use it a lot right now and would need it back every now and then. I'm up further N though.

wow $130 is way better and I bet most of us have a DMM or have the funds to buy one.
