Anyone know what this is?

I posted this over on the SCMAS forums as well, but figured I would try here also.

So woke up this morning and this mucus looking thing was waving across my live rock.. earlier it was actually expanded a bit more than is shown in the pick. For perspective.. the thing is about 3" or so wide in this pic.

Anyone know?

Thanks!

Hmm.. possibly.. there was nothing(at least that I could tell) in that spot except algae.. and there was nothing there last night at 11PM and was there this morning by 7am.. very weird.

is that some new florida live rock?
I was thinking the same thing.

It only takes a small clam or creature to die and create a ton of mucus.

Do you have ant wrasses? Looks like it could be a wrasse "nest" or "cocoon" that they sleep in.
