I was thinking about getting a berghia nudibranch for a short period of time to clear up some large aptasia and the small ones. I dont like using that aptasia killer liquid stuff and I thought it would be cool to get one for a little bit. Does anyone have any for sale plus i also heard they could eat some corals? Is this True? Any more info on their diet and caring info for this invertebrate would be helpful?

i wasnt aware of them eating anything but apstasia

i you only have them for a short period of time it will be because they die .....they are nearly impossible to get out

and you will want more than one

if your having trouble getting them to eat the aptasia, Sometimes if you damage the aptasia it will entice the srimps to eat them.

wtf? Thats the first I've heard of anyone saying this... If you damage them they release spores and infest your tank. I personally wouldn't try this.

I've never heard of berghias eating anything other than aiptasia. After the aiptasia is gone, they will die unless you move them.
You'll probably never see them in your tank because they blend in very well. You'll need more than one because it will probably die before it can
eat all the aiptasia and they like to eat the smaller stuff first.

I've never had good luck with any of the peppermint shrimp that I've ever tried. Obviously others have had good success with them.

One of our LFS should try and keep and breed berghias. Man would that make tank life so much easier.
