Catching a wrasse

So, I've been trying to catch this "darn" fish for two weeks. He's officially faster than the door on my trap. He also sleeps under a rock that is impossible to remove without tearing out 30% of my structure. Any thoughts? I'm about 3 beers away from building a small speargun.

I caught mind with a homemade fish trap made out of a gatorade bottle. I put some mysis in the bottom and he went inside to eat it. Sine the opening works kind of like a yellow jacket trap, he had to turn around to get out and that gave me enough time to pull it out of the water.

Yep wrasses are suckers for the soda bottle trick

That's the one where you cut off the top and invert it inside the bottom right?

Yep put some food and a rock in the bottom, size the hole to the wrasse
