I have been running my Radion above my 40 breeder on natural mode for quite a while and now that i have some cyano that wont go away im wanting to switch to a bluer spectrum to see if that helps. Should i make the switch gradual or just change from 12-14k to 20k?

I just did the Same with my radion but I went from 12 to 18. I was afraid to do it quickly so I did it slow over 3 weeks going from. 12 to 14 to 18?

Honestly though I think you could do it faster.

I went straight from 12K to 20K, and form 400w x 3 to 250w x 3 and didnt notice too much, corals definantly didnt open up the same for a couple days, but nothing major happened and nothing perished. Keep in mind with my switch not only did the spectrum change but the entire PAR changed as well. I think youd be more than fine making the jump to 20K IMO.

Only way to go with MH IMO!

I have MH and LEDs. The combo is perfect. Nothing makes corals pop like LEDs, and nothing makes corals grow like MH.
