Critter id

Anyone know what this is? I pulled it out this morning. I think is some sort of sea slug or possibly a cucumber of some sort about 1/2" in length. Good bad benign?

It looked a little bit like this in the water only different color and not as spiny along the body.

I recently saw another thread on rc about one, they said common cucumber, nothing to worry about. About ID, no idea.
