Has anyone ever done a price comparison with Hanna checkers to see life time savings? Because if I am not mistaken you still need to buy reagent for the hanna checkers.

It is not out yet. That listing is for a pre-order. I would say wait for it to hit a reputable dealer like Bulk Reef Supply so if you have any issues with it you can return/exchange easily.

The HI 758 Hanna Calcium Checker is available for shipping. List price is $49.50. For quantities for five or more your price is $39.50. Free freight on your order of $100.00 or more. The Checker comes with a few Reagents to get you started. And, Reagent kit for 25 tests is available for $19.50.

Just got this reply from hds.com

Meh. That doesn't sound like much of a discount compared to like 25$ for 100 tests from salifert. Guess I will continue to drip drip.

Don't kill the messenger. $20 for 25 tests is really steep, but doing the tests right is annoying and you can mess up. Is the human error portion worth enough to you to make you go out and get the HI calc checker?
