I was just curious if people get attached to their fish like a regular out of water pet? One of my clowns jumped out of the water yesterday, it found the only opening I have which is 2x3 inches with a powerhead in the way. I'm certain my wrasse was picking on her. Anyway I was too late and am surprisingly hurt by it. The remaining clown seems really depressed now, he's not eating yet. I've been trying to catch that damn wrasse for 2 months now. I hate that bastard. Anyway just curious how everyone else reacts.

Depends, if its a fish I have had for a long time, then yes. If its something that just came in and died in QT. not so much unless it was rare, or a really nice fish.

Not as much as when a super nice coral bites it. However my kids always break into tears.

LOL good thing I wasn't "cry" sad or I'd feel like a kid.

It has been a long time since I have lost a fish, but I do get a little worked up.

What kind of fish trap do you have?

The 2 liter bit you showed me :p I don't really want to buy a brand name trap for my one time use so I'm thinking of ripping all the rock out now until the jerk has no where to hide. I'd hate to stress my tank though. bleh..

I have 3 chromis I wanted out of my tank so I got a small fly hook to get them out my wife wouldn't let me do it cause she was afraid I would catch one of the other fish she has names for all the fish she writes them in her iPad so I know if we lost one of our long time fish she would be upset!

I really wanted rimless but think I will need to avoid it. Yeah you can add a top but then it defeats the purpose of the clean look that rimless gives.
