Evan could be wrong, but that direct real sunlight could be part of the hair algae problem. Every tank I have ever had with natural sunlight on it had bad algae issues. Maybe running a UV sterilizer on it would help. We use them on big water features and ponds and seems to really help with algae associated with sunlight. Could be just me but just a thought.
here is my new green mandrine! little guy isw occupying my frag tank tell he gets bigger. There are thousands of pods in there making my zoa frags mad so he is getting nice and fat
Been a great addition to the reef, he eats silversides from my hand and swims with the tangs. He dug around a bit at first, but once he made a good cave, he quit digging and moving sand.
