I have a reeflo tarpon external pump on my tank that has a very slow leak. The water is seeping thru the seal somehow. Any ideas on how to fix it? Would using cilicon or plumbers putty be appropriate? I don't think there's an O-ring or a gasket in there and I think all the screws are pretty tight. Can this be fixed? Or my only option is going with an internal Mag 18 that I have for back up?
thanks!

Plumbers puddy should work, if it dosent use 100% silicone and put a bead around the edge and then assemble the pump but u need to give it at least 12hrs to dry where as plumbers putty should be instantaneous

Is it leaking at the threads? If so I would say plumbers tape would do the trick. You could also use a flat o rung, that might do the trick
