I get my sand from ebay, I've now bought over 400lbs from this seller and its great if you want fine sand.
The 2 tanks I have put it in are doing well. Only complaint I have is my wavemakers seem to kick it up real easy.

FIJILIVESAND

Not sure why they had to change their ebay name but shipping is fair and prices are good.

Don't worry, I missed like 5. I guess I type too slow. I washed it twice.

Kris, I'm doing that dance when I win the gift card ;)
I never had the cloudy water issue with mine if you got the ame stuff. Did you go cheap and get the kroger brand?

I did go with cheap, actually, the only sand in stock at the time (local anyways).

Impatience got the better of me, rinsed it a third time. I know, I know, give it time. I've given it 4 days, time's up.
This time around, the cloudiness is "normal," not like muck water. Guess I'll go setup the RA.

Virgil and I rinsed the sand that went into the 90 for (what felt like ) 4 hours. I still had a sand storm in the tank for several days afterward. Give it time and it will settle.
you should be able to throw those filter socks into the washer, no bleach or detergent, just hot water, I do them twice one inside out and outside in and then let them air dry.

Get that RA up n going that will occupy your time while you wait lol
