This tank started to leak so I replaced it. It was a very slow leak from the back lower trim. I believe the cause was the tank being placed on an uneven stand that allowed the tank to lean back towards the wall. I bought the tank new in dec 2014. It still has the sand in it. I'm going to toss it on Monday if no one wants it. I'm in Lafayette. It is pictured in the link below.

Here is a picture of the tank. The paint on the back is glass craft paint. It scrapes off very easily and cleanly. I would think that by resealing the bottom pane of glass with new silicone, it would fix the leak. Maybe I'm wrong, i have never done a seal repair. It is drilled for an internal overflow box. The holes sizes are 35mm for 3/4 inch bulkhead and 75mm for 2 inch bulkhead. The glass quality is great. Only had setup for 18 months. Very few scratches.

Let me talk to the wife and see if we can pick it up today. Would you be able to get the sand out of it?

Yeah I can get the sand out and rinse the whole thing out for you.

If anyone has an opinion on whether or not this tank is worth resealing please feel free to chime in. I'm of the belief that it is, but maybe it's a lost cause.

Resealing is easy just a little tedious to clean out all the old silicone out but still easy to do
+1 Just cutout the old seal, clean up the seam with rubbing alcohol, mask of the edges, and then lay a bead of caulk. Remove the tape immediately afterward and let sit for a few days. Hardest part is removing the old seal and cleaning it
