Picking up a Rock River M4 carbine next weekend and I think I'm getting a good deal just wanted to get some opinions paying $700 I'll try and get more info on the scope.
I'm not sure on the name yet but the scope has the traditional crosshairs and then on top of the scope is a red dot not sure on the proper name of that kind of setup.
I've priced it on gunbroker.com and armslist it looks like a good buy was hoping somebody would chime in about the brand I'm not to knowledgable with the new AR's
I'm gonna say that it was a great deal no matter the scope. I bought the bushmaster MOE for $1100, I thought that was good deal....yours is a better one
The new ones sell for $995, and then you have to count in the scope...if its a good one. Depending on how many rounds have been through it, if it looks clean, and not worn down then it sounds like a good deal. Plus you dont have to wait the 3 months for it to be custom made. Of course if you want the best, their LAR-8 (7.62x51mm/.308) is top of the line but costs almost twice as much. I ordered one before the 4th of July, so I have probably 3-4 more months to wait. Ammo for it is also twice as expensive. I just wanted something I could go hunting with. But they are top quality firearms, and customer service is top notch. If you want a new 5.56, specialty sports in the springs, and Centenial Gun Store on Arapahoe carry them in stock.
I think Dragon Man Guns down in the springs also sells them, but im not 100%. Its worth the drive though, because he is one of the few Class 3 Weapons dealers in the state. Nothing like lighting up a machine gun.

I bet! I think I'm going to pick up that rock river the guy I'm going to get it from builds them also so I would hope if I ever have a problem with it he wouldn't mind helping me out with it. The scope on it is a mark 4 sniper.
I went and saw the rifle in person today he took it apart and showed me the slide and it was not worn at all the firing pin had no ware on it either I took a photo of the hammer there was minimal ware on that also
Here are a couple of photos they are just phone photos
It looks like a very clean gun so I gave him the deposit to hold it till next week!
Nice buy, gander mountain had some bushmaster carbines for around $700 and they were gone like hotcakes. I have never seen anything but good reviews about rock river. We should set up a group day to head to the hills and go shooting. There is a section on Colorado AR-15 Shooters forum that shows all the places to go to.
