Chrislorentz gave me a Happy People Eater paly, which was dong great, and appeared to be sprouting 2 little babies, well 2 days ago it was closed, then that night I saw some large pods on it. I chased them away, but assume they came back because yesterday morning the top of the now closed paly was white (like part of it had been eaten). It stayed closed yesterday, and when I checked on my tank this morning, it was totally gone.

Can pods eat a large paly that quickly? Do I have something else in my tank that could have eaten in?

The only fish I had at the time was a tail-spot blenny, who could care less about the corals. I also had the normal hermits and snails, and a couple of cleaner shrimp. Since then, I have added a pink streaked wrasse to eat some of these pods.

Yep, once they start dying the pods will make a meal of them, they won't attack them when they are healthy. Mine did the same thing from the big order we all did.

I've had other zoa's that you could tell were dying, and were closed for several days, before pods would hang out on them, and have a nice meal. This time it was different. It was fine one day, then closed the next, had a chunk missing the following day, then gone the next morning.
