DBTC program looks like it is hitting a stall. Look for some new DBTCs from me here in the next few days. Anyone else going to join me? :)

Lol, I'll come over. I don't have anything that anyone would want yet, even when I do I'm not sure if anyone would come here to get it, so I'm probably better off trying to bring what i can to the meetings.

I have a few ready, and some more that need to be fragged...just waiting to clear up the needed space on my frag rack to get them ready to go.

I fragged everything just before the DBTC so I don't really have anything to frag except eagle eyes and leathers :( I did just DBTC a nice chunk of purple haze a few weeks ago :)

Hmmmmm simple rules and common courtesy for dbtc or no?

1. If accepting a DBTC be a cool fellow reefer and want to see the mother colony of the coral and the DBTC'ing persons tank- this means go to
the persons house!!!!!!
2. Not cool to ask them to meet you somewhere - dont ask them to spend their gas money inorder to give you a free coral they dont have to give
you.
3. Show some interest in the person, their tank, thier husbandry practices - Be a cool fellow reefer, dont appear to be just another free coral
snatcher!
4. CONTINUE on the DBTC - dont sell, trade or hoard the coral!

Anyway this is my broad thoughts on how DBTCs should be, am I wrong?

Also, if it's on record that you took a DBTC, and the giver gets ahold of you to say his or her colony died, don't ignore them or give them a bs story about the frag... And then post them up for sale a week or 2 later!!! It's in the rules that you just became a backup to that person by taking said frag!

I think we should all remember that you never know who is on the otherside of the screen. Meaning you don't know if its a woman, a child, a grandparent, a genius or someone with some challenges. So bottom line, let's all try to be respectful and curtious to each other esp when you don't actually even know who is on the other end.

everyone who is participating should read this and be sure to read the rules the op post to claim the coral. It seems some ppl just post saying that they want it with out reading the rules or the thread to see what has already been claimed.

Agreed, but it's not the memberships duties to point this fact out to everyone. If anybody has a problem with a thread or a post you can always PM the OP or the BOD.

not pointing anyone out just saying it seems, I was just trying to say everyone should read the dbtc rules and this thread and also the op's rules for claiming, and then I gave a reason why I feel everyone should read and follow the rules. I think everyone who gives away in a dbtc fashion is really helping the community.

I didn't point you out?? I'm saying in general, it isn't the membership duty to publicly point things like that out. We all need to remember what Chad is saying below. We don't know who is behind the computer on the other side. If there's a problem with something, bring that problem to us the BOD, or feel free to PM the OP.
