I use all state for renters/auto/life and am extremely happy...that being said I have been wanting to talk to Kris about exploring some options. Just too lazy to get all of that paperwork together! Lol
Make sure you know all the right questions you should be asking. I would google the questions per each type. It would be a mess if you lost certain coverages that you will need in the future.
A good agent will help you to uncover any potential exposures. Although Google might be a good starting point for questions to ask, there is no way it can possibly know every exposure you might have. A good agent will also look at your current coverages and make sure to match or exceed what you currently have.
Also, flood is a standard exclusion on almost all property policies, along with earth movement. These perils typically require a separate policy.
Oh Kris don't take it personal lol. I didn't direct that to you. I just know it's better to educate yourself than to rely on someone you hope will be a "good agent." I would trust you of course but if I called some random insurance office for a quote I wouldn't be as confident. That is why I said this. A good agent wouldn't be upset at someone educating themselves.
