I have been using Kent since the last meeting. Only a couple 10 gallon water changes so far ,but everything looks the same as with salinity . Nothing ticked off ,mixes clear, happy so far.
Still dosing the same to maintain Alk and ca.

I am using the seachem aqua vitro and like how fast it clears up. About fish has it on sale for $69 a bucket it makes 250 gallons. I have always used instant ocean needed salt and Mark Sherman suggested trying seachem explained how each batch of salt has the results printed on the bucket.

ya thats salinity and they make 225g not 250g ....funny you say how fast it clears up....one of the biggest complaints i have heard about it is that it makes your water cloudy for a while

IME it would cloud my tank for about 10-12 hours. I mostly keep LPS and Softies with a few SPS and IMO saw no benefit for the xtra $'s

I don't see salinity on the chart, just the older seachem salts.

I used Kent for a lot of years, and it is good. But I had to dose more with it, so as long as you don't mind that. It's all good. I switch Reef Crystals about a couple of years ago when I up graded to a bigger tank. A lot less dosing, but I hated after making a fresh batch to do a water change the brown crap in my trash can. I know a maintenance company that uses the Red Sea Pro and swears by it. The took care of my tank for a few months and my corals looked awesome. So I just ran out of Reef Crystals and Red Sea is at a good price now so I made the switch. The stuff mixes nice and no brown crap.

Oops! Yes 225gal. I thought mine was cloudy the first time I used it but now it seems like it's clear. Its the first time I have used anything other then Instant Ocean in the 8 years I have had a saltwater tank.
