I didn't realize how hard it was to keep a tank blog...
Last weekend I was at aquatic art. I brought in my two hydrometers and Andrea helped me calibrate them. I also brought in a sample of my water to test. Guess what, my hydrometers were way out of calibration. I was showing 1.025 when my actual water was testing 1.021. So I did the poor man's re calibration with a sharpie, and have not used any top off water this last week. I checked the tank today and was amazed at the size of all my corals. Zoas are open, Hammer looks like it is taking up half of the thank and I have never seen such extension on my clam. I am estimating that my salinity today (with my sharpie mark) is at 1.025.
I also took a photography class this week so I will attempt to post some better pictures.
