I have to say I'm kind of disappointed in mine. Don't get me wrong this thing works great, tons of flow and love all the different settings. I would think though for what I paid for it there shouldn't be as many problems. Bought it brand new and within a month or two it just quit working. Sent it in and they replaced/ repaired it for free under warranty. Fast forward another 8 months or so and this time it's flashing a weird code and isn't working again. Send it to them again. It's out of warranty and costs me $80 to have it repaired. Now almost a year later again it is flashing a weird code and not working. I don't play around with it and I have it plugged in to a surge protector because I think the first time it went out was due to a power surge. For being such a pricey piece of equipment I sure did have lots of failures over the last couple of years

that is a pretty crappy experience ...the only problems i have had with my vortech was my fault and they gave me a discounted price for replacements

I guess I'll just send it in again and maybe I'll get the upgrade to the ES instead ,if the repair is almost as much. ::sigh:: I was trying to save up for some LEDs

I just bought the es w controll and do far so good. I do have to say it sure is loud. I wonder if it's just mine?

Have you checked what the code are it might just need reset!

Mine will flash red and green when the wet end needs to be rebuilt, thats a common one.
also the dry ends dont like saltwater so make sure the controller or motor isnt getting splashed ever

It's flashing red white and blue and not running. Controller is in a spot where it won't get wet. How do I reset it?

Unplugged it and let it sit for a few. Now I have a red/white code, I don't see this in the manual

I didn't even know I could update. How do I get it going again? This is why I set it and leave it

Nevermind, it's red/yellow. All of the codes are in the manual, just kinda hidden

Well I left it unplugged for a few days and decided I would try it again before I sent it in. Now it's working. Don't know what was wrong with it but I'm happy it's running again

Possible it overheated? if its running at full power a lot, mine get hot. I have had it stop once because of this.

Mines noisy when its in pulse mode. But it does a sweet little wave in my 12.

I don't think it over heated. I tried it days apart and it still wouldn't run
