Anybody have some led's laying around for a 14 biocube? The led's over my cousins tank are spotlighting bad and we need something with better lens' for more spread. DIY would be cool to, let me know what you got and how much.
that top probably makes a lot of condensation. are you sure the spot lighting isn't from the water building up? I had that issue using glass tops before
when building that fixture for the biocube make sure you do 2 warm whites and 2 neutral whites and 2 cool whites for your white channel running at 1200mA. and the other channel 6 royal blue with a driver running at 1300 mA. that should give you a nice 13-16k color look during the day. also siguest getting http://www.rapidled.com/2-led-solderless-moonlight-kit/ if you dont have an apex to control it. so you can use timers and don't have to turn down the blues for moonlight every night.
