Needed! Temperature control for chiller

I'm looking for a temp controller for a chiller let me know if u know where to get one or if anyone has one used?

you can get a ranco but for the price you might as well look into a larger controller like a reefekeeper, apex, reef angel type thing

I would also say to take a look at the ACjr, i love mine and think its the best thing i ever did for my tank!

congrats on the new toy ....dont be like me ...i just use my rkl as a moinitor ..ill be here crying when something goes wrong b/c i didn't program it ...lol

It's really easy, you can set it to turn on at a certain temp, turn off at another. Without having the unit in front of me:

If temp > 82 then A01 on
If temp < 81.9 then A01 off

This is assuming you want the chiller to turn on when the temp is above 82 and off when it's 81.9 and below. A01 is the outlet port on the dc8, yours may be different. I think I got the greater than/less than signs correct.

If you don't know where to make a new command, we can address that too.

Well thanks I got it setup just the basics for now I will be out of town for 2 weeks but my metal halides pull a lot of amps and am worried that they will trip the breaker when the chiller or pump kicks on! I want them to shut off if the chiller turns on so It won't trip

You need to plug it in to a different breaker in that case.
