Hmmm people must be half asleep then!!!!

About your power outage you should be ok for a couple hours if she keeps using a pitcher and taking tank water and dumping it back in!!!!

Not much, pour the water in from high enough to create some flow, and oxygenate the water some, wrap blankets around it to insulate.

Based on the fact when I do large tank cleanings that take up to 3 hours and everything is off during that time and it does fine I would think you have a minimum of 3 hours.

That should be plenty of time for you to make it over to my house and take over the pitcher duties when the gf heads out to DIA for her flight. =)

Your outlet point down into the water or sump just to small to take the amount of water

When the power goes out my big tank drains 40-50 gallons into my sump. It goes within a inch of over filling it. What I did is turned my pumps off let it drain into my sump then added water till it was within a inch from the top of my sump. Then I turned everything back on and marked my max water level on the sump I've never had any problems knock on wood

my power was out for 2 hrs while I slept, when I woke up the only way you could tell the power was out was the clocks were all off a couple hrs, fish tank was fine, only really have to worry about 4+ hr outages.

My power went out at 130am while I slept, microwave told me so. I woke up at 820is and instantly started panicking grabbing blankets and other crap to help me insulate. At 830 the power turned back on haha. Everything seems fine as of right now, water didn't get down to far.

Nice! Hope everything turns out as well for Boogie!
150 online now, and running much smoother, must not have been traffic, or maybe it was a high % hitting refresh?
