Something I usually would never do

Well I need some help. My anemone has gotten to big and has started to sting corals therefore causing them to die. What Im debating is if I want to isolate the anemone in it's own little box (clownfish wouldn't be very happy), cut it (I would prefer not to do this), or put a "divider" in the tank so the anemone can't sting anything but the divider. What do you guys think?

i have decided i am going to have to move the red planet and frag some other corals so that i can keep the nem ...GL

You could try setting up your flow so its pushing the nem away from the rest of the tank, just a thought.

Ya I would have moved the corals it's stinging but I glued them to the rock a while back. I have to admit I love my anemone and am now will always have to have a nem of some sort in my tank(s)

You could try setting up your flow so its pushing the nem away from the rest of the tank, just a thought.

I can try this as a temporary fix but don't know if it will work.

This will cause the nem to move.

If you glued the frags down, them take them off. Usually, a little applied force will pop them right off. Unless you puttied them, that might take a wedge and something to strike it with.

What you could do is rearrange your rock if you don't have the room/budget for a bigger tank. It's worth a shot IMO

I puttied them about a year ago so therefore they are encrusted on the rock. But good idea about moving the rock structure. I'll probably do that.

You could always set up a second tank for the nem...

You could try rearranging and fragging some of your corals to make them smaller and get them out of the way, but if the cost isn't prohibitive another tank for the anemone may be your best option... after all, it's only going to get bigger, right?

Can't you set that tank up you won at the DBTC chain get together and put the Nem in there? Or is that tank to small? I can not remember what size it was.

I would have done the already but I still need lights for the tank. Right now I have a "divider" in the tank separating it from the corals that it was stinging.

it just moved my red planet colony this morn ....my sunburst is alot bigger now .....gotta trim back the slimer next on move the purple haze ...sigh

no way ...you know how long i have tried to get in in the spot it is ...or close to it ...a long time ....lol
