Is not a saltwater powered car . Got my hopes up for nothing. Just a flow battery.

Yeah I looked at this thinking someone finally took the time to create a car powered by salt water. In theory it is possible but would be hard to design.

I actually really doubt that these companies claims are BS. A flow battery is a special type of battery that is by far the most efficient battery technology currently available. That article pokes fun at the fact that the idea that a car can be recharged with saltwater, which was never expressed by the original company in the first place. Saltwater is simply the storage medium. It would only make sense that using a flow battery would be capable of those kinds of distances due to its extremely high chemical efficiency.
