Nah, I've lived here since 1990, but right now I'm living in an unfinished basement with no forced air heating and a regular fireplace instead of a stove, so I woke up to a 45 degree room this morning. The winds kick up off of the mountains pretty good up here, especially as we're on the other side of a few at the end of a long, open plain. Living this far from civilization and at this altitude has taught me a thing or two about needs vs. wants. And at least I have the day off so I can cut and split some more firewood. Pros and cons, I tell ya!

We didn't have that extreme of a windchill last night, though! Record breakers across the state from what I'm hearing, too. Fun stuff!

Here in the springs it was only -9 but lemme tell you, working at the airport and having to be outside in it all day. Took me about 5 hours last night to get warm again even after being handled up all day haha, was definitely a cold one

-16 here - legit. Perfectly calm. Way better than even 0 and 40 MPH winds.
+1 this is why I will never live in Wyoming or north Dakota :p

Yeah. Luckily it was on the run to the hose bib and I can shut it off. Had the restoration guys come out and setup the fans and dehumidifier. It's wet near the big tank but as of now they didn't think I need to move the tank. Time will tell. If I have to move the tank it will set me back the three months it has been cycling.

No better way to end the year......
