We got allot of welders here myself included. You wont have any issues getting help or pointers if you need them. Just practice with some scrap first.

The DR.'s 215 build!!! Finally... :/

got it all tacked together. Had a couple small warping issues but overall going very well! Everything is strait now. I'll finish welding after lunch and do some grinding.

Thanks Brian! I am glad I don't weld for a living! I hurt man. I'm eating lunch and drinking coffee! I'll snap a pic for 2 of the while thing when I get back. I still need to cut the diagonal pieces for the sheer strength. I think I'll wait till tomorrow! Lol

I don't think that you will need them, but some simple 6" or 8" gussets would be better than plywood, IMO. I typically make them out of some plate in the scrap bins, or use whatever i have lying around.

You can see what I did in the corners and in the back that's all you need. Steel is strong dont over think it :)

Hoping to get the thing painted tomorrow. I get three weeks off between the end of the semester and crazy summer school 70 hours a week of teaching...... I need to do it now or I'll go nuts!
