On Sunday afternoon, a man in his mid 30s came into Aquamart. He had a child with him, approximately two years old. He did a good amount of shopping, selecting a couple of fish and several pieces of coral for purchase. We had bagged up enough things for him that he required a styrofoam box to pack his livestock in. His goodies were packed up and upon ringing up his purchase, he asked if he could carry his box out to his vehicle and strap his child in. I am sure most of you can guess what happened next. He loaded his kid up, put his box in his truck, and drove away.
I am sure there is blame to go around everywhere. We trust the people in the community enough to give them a little bit of freedom. You guys have lives outside of the hobby and sometimes have a schedule to keep. It is just a shame that we cannot trust everyone with something as simple as paying for your purchase.
As mentioned, the customer was a male with a child in tow. He drove an SUV/crossover of sorts. The vehicle had a spare tire on the back. It was black in color and had chrome running boards. This information was passed onto me so I don't have more details at this point. This is a great community with many great people. And it isn't that large of a community. If anyone knows this person, please tell them to do the right thing. And to other stores around town, please be careful. Even some of you that sell out of your homes!
Thanks everyone.
