Make sure you are getting the version with the 24v power supply. That was how they solved the half power as advertised problem was double the power supply output.

I bet after engineering built and tested the unit someone in accounting decided that they could save money by using 12v power supplies and didn't think that it would make a difference in the product.

What's the energy consumption as compared to similar 12v pumps. Don, don't say double.

My mistake, The article I read was for the 6105. Not sure if they have changed anything about this pump.

probably close to the same, the amperage is just going to be cut in half, so dbl voltage, half current, power stays the same.

The power pack say 12/24v. Not sure what that means but I am guessing there is a switch where you can run it on either. However in the manual it says the pump runs on 20v. Anyway, ordered it yesterday, should get it later this week.

So this pump is nothing but pure awesomeness. The power pack gives you the ability to set the voltage to whatever you want. It is dead quiet and moves some water. It is also the same size as the 6055. Can't wait to get 1 more.

vortech rules ....lol

and its double jaimie
haha...I love the mp10 on my frag tank. I love the 6095 in my dt, it is controllable has great flow, the power pack has 6 different sets for voltage and it is way less than the vortechs.

ya the adjustable voltage is pretty cool ...shaun sold me an aqua medic that does that for my frag tank ...simple solution to make an adjustable powerhead
