I have a lot of these small white slug like creatures that moves like a snail and move very fast for its size. They are smaller than a mm as of right now. They are about the same size as those small white jelly fish like anemone that sticks on the glass. They are all over the glass. Are they bad?
They are too small at least for my phone camera to get a desent picture at all. As much as I can explain they have a sort of the letter "u" shape tail and a worm like body to a arrow head..
Try looking up stomatella snails and see if they look similar. I just found one in my tank the other day but it was about 1/2 inch long. If they are stomatella they are suppose to be reef safe herbivores.
could be limpet snails, without pic its hard to deterimine. ive had same type (judging by brief description) that turned out to be limpets. At first i thought i had a flatworm problem, but never happened, turned out to be snails. FWIW...
i though flatworms were red in color? or are there many different variety?
flatworms are only bad when they die. they release toxin in the tank and needs to be sucked out. other than that its just annoying to see and they reproduce like crazy if not controlled.
I will try to take pictures tonight but again it's going to be hard to see.. It's been a month and it looks like the pyramid snails have a shell and by now I should see a shell but it's still so small I can see but a month they should develop something. All I know is that they slither like a snail/worm
Only? I thought it could've been worst. Man i knew i shouldnt be putting anything i could find in! Ok I will let you know when just want to find out if it's flat worms
