Vortech mp40 settings

So....just got a mp40w and I was curious what settings those who have them have found work the best for their tank. Wondering what size tank, how many mps your running and what setting you keep yours on.

Chad, knowing your tank, I would say Reef Crest mode. I run mine Lagoon mostly but I am SPS dominate.

Kris that's what I was thinking too, but what do you think about the ecosmart ntm or the ram modes?

Reef Crest is the way to go. I run Reef Crest a little less than 50% in my 22g. Everything loved the varying flow. The NTM mode is cool for one day if you want to stir up the tank for detritus reasons.

I have two running reef crest on my 200g and two running nutrient transport on my 150g

I have 2 on my 75 gallon and I run reef crest mode less than 50% my tank is mostly SPS.

I have two on the 180 run rc mode and once and a while I'll change it up. On the cube I also run rc mode about 75%

wow, overwhelming response in favor of reef crest. I may have to try it out. Right now I have my tanks on short pulse mode to get a standing wave in the tank

I run my mp10 on reefcrest at about 70% in my nanocube. The occasional surge kicks the detritus out of the back corners and everything seems happy.

I do like lagoon mode too, but it left a couple dead spots in the tank due to my rockwork and the shape of the tank.

Lagoon mode at 100% on mine with 2 MP40's seems to provide plenty of flow and everything is happy.

ok one last question.... I also have a mp10 non-wireless but havent hooked it up yet. Would running the 10 and the 40 be to much flow and or is it worth the cost of them both?

Reef Crest - about 70% on my 110, seems to work great. I don't think I need any more flow at all!! Seems like RC has won the vote. On a 75, I think another MP10 might not be worth it, IMO.
