Does aqua mart/etc QT inverts like linckia? I used to keep them years ago and apparently got lucky. But recently, I have had bad luck with them. I know they are very sensitive, so I acclimated them for like two hours, but no avail. All three were from the mail, including LA.

Good luck. I have never been able to keep one. I have had one last for a month before it starts melting. Honestly I would ask the store how long they have had it. If its less than 2 weeks I wouldn't buy it. But then again no matter how long they have had it does not make it certain to survive. I know people who have them and keep them successfully. In Cris's tank at Aquatic Art there's one that's been there for a while. I stopped buying them because I felt so bad after they would die. In my opinion the orange ones live longer and are hardier. Be sure to acclimate correctly is the only advice I can give.

Linkia starfish must be handled so that they're not ever exposed to the air. If they're exposed to air they may die even weeks later! We take great care not to expose them to air and if you ever purchase one and they DON"T do this, refuse to buy it!
+1, those jerks on Tanked have no idea what they are doing with livestock
