ARM has been calcite for about a year, or a bit more. They had to switch a while back. TLF says that they might have more coral skeletons coming, but I am not believing it until I see it.

Thanks. Thought maybe there was a secret cheep source like Ace Hardware people were getting Calcite from.

I already have ARM in the mail. Should be here soon.

Have you seen any real differences between ARM and Reborn? I just wanted to stick with what works but don’t have any real data to support it.

The ARM is fine. My only thoughts are that you might not get the super small traces of natural media, but I change water, so I am not worried about this too much. You might need a bit more co2 to melt the calcite... just test the effluent and see. This is true with any media type were composition and surface area matter so much... one batch of natural media might melt 10% different than another.

I started this tank with real live rock and I am just now getting all kinds of regular sponge and cyptic sponges and other filter feeders on the rocks. Mini brittles are abundant and so are asternias. Seeing more types of worms out in the open now.
