Nice. I have been wanting to do something similar to my tank for sometime. Thats a lot of tubing to push it through though, are you flushing it through somehow? You should make a separate post in DIY stuff on how you built it

Aquatic Art usually has the best selection and prices around. Aquamart is closer to you though, although I haven't been in there in years so no idea what they have or prices. They were a bit more on expensive then others when I was last in there.

Ya CUC is a must to help get it under control. Turbos, sea hare, pincusion urchins are great for keeping the lawn mowed once you pull out the big clumps. You won't be able to get the algae under control without a CUC so don't wait on this one, go and get them in asap. Tangs and rabbit fish are...

Not sure how much is in there still, maybe about 50-75 lbs or so. I know there is one large piece that was part of an arch I was going to put in my tank but ended up not using. Most of it is base rock, although its all pretty well seeded and ready to go. Havent been actively trying to sell it so...
