Ya, I love NPS tanks, although also a lot of work, but if you have the time and patience to dedicate to them they can be pretty amazing.

Ya I tend to agree with @jda123 here. Dosing the nitrate really is just a band-aid of sorts. Instead you should be looking to address the reason why your NO3 and Phos are so low in the first place, and then fix that. And if your test kit is reading that much NH4 but NO3 remains stuck I think...

I cut a few frags this weekend. Have some Money Dance trees, Hawkins, and another RR stick I forget the name of.

Not a terrible idea, as long as rules permit it, but I wouldn't put it straight in your tank. Anything from the ocean should get a long QT because there is a high likely hood of bringing over some unwanted pest.

Ya sadly with a tank that size emeralds and manual removal are you best tools. I'd personally just remove what I could by hand without removing the base rocks but wouldn't hurt to remove the rock if you need as long as you don't keep them out of the water to long. Just setup a separate tub of...

I had a colony of these for many years. Gave out tons of frags of them. Someone should still have some of them since they are pretty hardy and fairly quick growers
