So I am getting ready to upgrade my system and double my gallons. so I have 1 skimmer rated for 220g could I just get another skimmer for about the same gallon rating? I know less is more but will 2 work just as good? what are your thoughts?
No idea, all I can offer is what others have experienced on different forums. From the others, one skimmer will work harder than the other. They usually get a bigger one, as opposed to two. HTH
From my experience in having 2 skimmers, one has always worked harder than the other. They've still both worked, but to their potential IDK. If it were me, I'd just try and get 1 bigger one to cover the whole tank.
