black sand

I don't know on black sand. I was told it does no buffering so it probably doesn't matter. I'm using these 40 pounds and another 20 pounds of live black sand

Where did you get live? ? The buffeting is only if your ph gets to low right??

Aquamart, reef and pond also sells it 2.50 a pound. Seemed kinda pricey IMO
