Just got one. Where do you place it? High light? High flow? Feeding? Ect? It's a small investment so want to be educated. It's going into a 35 gallon, with wave maker powering 3 heads, LED lighting 119 watts. Salinity 1.023, temp 78-80, water prams are great, weekly 5 gallon water changed with salinity salt. Feed coral frenzy, oyster feast, restore, and rods mysis. Let me know.

I shaded mine about 1/3 of the way down, fed every other day with the LPS food(Tropic Marin?) and PE mysis (alternating of course), medium flow, on a frag rack. No idea what my params were, I'm guessing roughly the same as now 1.025 sg, Ammonia 0, Nitrite 0, Nitrate 0-5, pH 7.9-8.2, temp 79-81, Ca 425, Mg 1350, Alk 3.5 meq/L(roughly 10dKh), no idea on what my phosphates were back then maybe .25? 30g w/c weekly with Salinity, running AquaC EV 180 Skimmer, MP40 on Lagoon mode.

What?!???!!!! Mine is unkillable. It's been lost in the sand fallen on other corals which it killed, been through heavy alk and ph swings, and left out of the tank for 5ish hours (which almost did the deed) this is a super resilient coral. I have mine in high flow, high light, irony realy feed anymore, I used to feed all eyes a mysis and it realy grew, I don't realy frag anymore since they grow so fast and just about everybody has one. Needless to say it's a cool coral. You shouldn't have much problems with it. If so i can hook you up. RP get at me if you want a frag.

I have had mine under LEDs and MH with no shade. None of my chalices have shade and they grow well. My temp is 78 and salinity is 1.025. It was fine with my salinity was a lot lower too. I spot feed all the chalices at least once a week. I do a water change when I get around to it. Otherwise, I don't worry too much about my BGM or the other ones.

plus one with tyler, that coral is one of the most resilient corals I have ever had. I started with a fingernail clipping sized frag with no eyes and it blew up.

Mine likes to be slapped and called Sally, abuse is the word, whips and chains work best, and she will make fun of you if you have a weak hand shake.

Once a weekish I'll spot feed but usually just feed a cube of the cyclops or other food after the lights go out for all my corals. I also like the reef nutrition foods but have not used them in a while, just because I dont have any on hand.
