Bubble tower in sump

I'm building a new sump and was wondering if anyone has ever used or is using a bubble tower in their sump. Lmk your thoughts good and bad please.

I've always liked bubble traps especially if you have a skimmer in the first return chamber. It removes the bubbles that cold interfere with the skimmer. If I ever build myself a sump, it would have a bubble trap filled with live rock rubble.
