checking interest. 55 gal freshwater tank stand and equipment

#1
Hey everyone, I'm gonna sell my 55 gallon fresh water tank. I say fresh water because the tank IS NOT DRILLABLE!!! I was gonna drill it eventually but when I got it home and took it out the box I found the tag saying "ALL PANELS ARE TEMPERED, DO NOT DRILL!" So I took that as a good enough warning. Its the tank, the stand I built for it, and the lights, 2 aqueon 50 hob filters, 2 aquaclear 30 power heads and under gravel filter. The lights are your typical t8 fluorescent lights but I also added in some white led lights. I had the hydor Theo 200watt heater on it, but within the last week the thermostat went out and heated the water to about 86 degrees and found it wasn't working right. Still works but would need a thermo controller. I have the boxes and possibly receipts for the power heads and hob filters so warranty will continue on. Tank and equipment are only 5-6 months old. Just trying to reduce my freshwater tanks and make room for my new salt tank. I'll start the price at $300 and go from there. Can't drop it much more tho if I do. Already sacrificing what I have on it. Also the stand is made of cabinet grade plywood and hardwood. The stand can hold way more weight then it will ever have to. Let me know if your interested. Might be willing to do a part trade part cash on it. Looking for just an empty tank 20-40 breeder size so I can drill it and make it a frag tank later. May be interested in salt stuff too, dont need too much tho as I only have my biocubes right now and there's not a lot you can add to them equipment wise. I'll post some pics as soon as I can get to my computer. PM me in the mean time I might be able to text some to you

And if you know anyone who wants a 55 let me know. The stand is identical to the one I made for the 75 you have. I just haven't made the door yet. Was gonna have it done by the weekend, but the door won't be folding like yours.

Ok, I'll try for this weekend. I already cleaned the heater just waiting for it to dry and then going back in the box. Was gonna try for warranty on it but have no use for it so figured I would mess with the hassle

update: PHOTOS

Alright, here are some pictures finally, sorry they took so long to get up, been a busy week. So the 2 pictures show the tank, stand and equipment, i will include the canister filter if you want it and want to pay the extra. if not ill sell whats there without the canister. And the other photo is how i set up the white LED's into the lights. Their just double sided taped on so they can be removed. I think the tank could use the extra light as to why I added them in. looks great with em. I also have 2 dual outlet timers I bought for this tank since theirs 4 light plugins, I put the 2 LED's on one and the two fluorescents on the other. works great to create a dawn and dusk effect. and the LED's create great shimmer effect. I would have those come on 1st and shut off last. Worked awesome. The timers were 10-15 each, cant remember. but will include them for another 10 if you want them so your lights are all auto. I do need to finish the door for the cabinet, but will have it fitted and stained tomoro, and polyurethaned on sunday. It will be ready as of monday night to go. I will post pics of the door as i get it done this weekend so you can see it is being done.

And this is the package - Tank, Stand, Lights, 2 Aqueon Quietflow 50 HOB filters, 2 Aquaclear 30 Power Heads w/ undergravel filter, would like to get $325 OBO for it all. Ill include the Fluval 206 canister filter for another $65- this price is firm as its $120-130 for it new and is only a few months old.

Heres a photo of what stand will look like

This is a stand I built for my old 75 RR, Mathewkofalk now owns the tank and stand. Im sure he would be glad to answer any questions about it. I made it with a split door because of the set up of my old apartment and to have room as if the door could open all the way. But for the 55 stand I do not plan on making it that way. Am gonna make it a normal solid door. But this will at least give you a good idea of the actual quality of the stands I build for aquariums. REMEMBER - THESE PICTURES I AM ONLY USING AS REFERENCE FOR THE STAND, THIS TANK I NO LONGER OWN AND IS NOT THE TANK THAT IS FOR SALE. THESE ARE JUST PICTURES I KEPT FOR MY PORTFOLIO AS IT IS A STAND THAT I PERSONALLY BUILT.

Hey everyone, I'll have some pictures of the door for the cabinet up soon. Its stained and drying just gotta polyurethane it now. Should be 100% ready by tomoro evening. Also I thought about it and am up for trades too. I'm interested in finding a 30 breeder, if can't find that would go for a 40 breeder. Want to set up a frag tank in a month or two and that would help me get started. Also interested in some equipment too depending on what you have. Let me know! I'll gladly work a deal with you!
