Garden Hose?

So I am getting tired of hauling buckets of water from the basement when I do my water changes, and was thinking of getting a pump to transfer the water.

Is a standard garden hose safe to use to fill my tank back up? I would flush it with RO water before running clean saltwater through it.

Trying to do this as economical as possible, instead of buying 50' of clear hose.

Let me know your thoughts\ideas

Thanks in advance

I would get the hose that says it is drinking water safe, but I have done it.

I use it to mix water, pump down tanks and pump from holding tank to Displays. Just be careful they will really heat up the water !
