Not sure where to post this, but this was a co worker showing some new people in our shop the actual ability of glass to deflect, without breaking, if it’s tempered. This does not apply to annealed.

I’m not suggesting anyone go out and build a 100 gallon rimless tank with 1/4” tempered glass. That won’t go well. But, glass typically can hold more than we as hobbyists think. There are good calculators out there for building tanks and the glass sizes recommended so don’t use this as any suggestion.
